Held the night before the first Positive Ageing Journey Symposium, the cocktail party offers a great networking opportunity for attendees, delegates and sponsors alike. As part of this event, LifeTec will also provide interactive demonstrations to highlight the effectiveness of assistive technology as an integral component of prolonged independent living and community care, as well as showcasing the Queensland Smart Home Initiative’s interactive Demonstrator Centre.

The Positive Ageing Journey Symposium is an innovative educational event with a primary target market of adults looking to extend the length and quality of their later lives. In addition to a large range of trade displays and demonstrations, the Symposium will offer attendees constructive advice about extended independent living, social, cognitive and functional health. Community, clinical and academic experts will work together with keynote celebrities to teach attendees about venturing on their own positive ageing journey.
Cost: Symposium Adults holding seniors cards or unemployed $20 Employed (no seniors card) $35
Please note: Registration for the Symposium includes the cost of the cocktail party.
The Symposium costs include the Cocktail Party, and welcome tea and coffee, morning and afternoon tea, and a chef prepared lunch at the event. Ample parking will be available on site at the Cocktail Party and Symposium, with a range of public transport conveniently placed for the venues. Individuals with special needs should contact the Symposium organiser using the details given below.
Numbers are limited for these events so please register before 11th of September 2009. No walk ins can be accepted on the day.
